My medical tests and scans said everything was normal, but my symptoms persisted. Eventually, my doctor advised me to eliminate certain foods from my diet for a period of time. Within a week of doing this, my symptoms had almost disappeared. I was amazed at how changing what I ate had made such a big difference to my health.
I have noticed something similar in other areas of my life. What I take in through television, radio, and other media makes a big difference in how I feel emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually. Feeding on the wrong things can increase anxiety, confusion, and doubts. Feeding on the right things like scripture, good literature, and sermons, and starting my day with The Upper Room nourishes my spirit and affects my wellbeing. As I am learning to eliminate foods that trigger my physical symptoms, I am also learning to do the same in other areas of my life, and I feel much better for doing so.
Today I will nourish my spirit by reading scripture.
