“…let your adornment be the inner self with the lasting beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in God’s sight” (1 Peter 3:4, NRSV).
There can be no sparkle without light. The light of the Lord lets each of us shine in our own special way.
Just as the Spirit led Jesus, God may lead us to a lonely place — a place that will test us, make us stronger, and fill our hearts with trust.
“Mightier than the thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the sea — the Lord on high is mighty,” (Psalm 93:4, NIV).
Just as God can take a tiny snowflake and use it to create a majestic winter scene, so too can God use us to accomplish mighty deeds.
Gracious Lord, may I always join my voice with all of creation in singing your praise.
