Lord, I am greatly saddened by the fact that probably 90% of the people who swear this oath are c...Read Moreommitting blasphemy, as they take this pledge so lightly. Forgive us all for the times we take your name in vain. There are so many solutions proposed that may heal the brokenness that is so present in this nation and in today's world, but only one law need be kept to remedy all ills, and that is the Golden Rule, to, " Do unto others as you would have them do unto you ". So simple, yet, so true. Crime, war, hatred, poverty, hunger, homelessness, these would cease to exist if we would just love our neighbor, as ourselves. I pray this prayer is in the Holy name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and all God's children say, AMEN!
