One of the great gifts of the Emmaus movement is that no Community walks alone.
Across regions, districts, and local Communities, God has woven together people who listen for the Spirit, care deeply for one another, and faithfully serve the Church. The Communicator ministry is one expression of that gift—a reminder that support, encouragement, and holy companionship are always within reach.
It is with gratitude and joy that we welcome Katie Rummel, Jeff Rinehart, Penny Taylor, and Nathan Guteras as new members of the Communicator team. Each of them brings unique gifts, deep love for Emmaus, and a shared commitment to walking alongside Communities as they discern what God has in store.
Communicators are not simply problem-solvers or information-sharers. They are listeners, encouragers, and thought partners—people who will celebrate what is thriving in your Community and sit with you faithfully in seasons of uncertainty or transition. They are here to help you reflect, pray, and imagine faithfully, trusting that God is already at work among you.
To our Community leaders: I want to encourage you to reach out to your Communicator whenever you need support, perspective, or a trusted conversation partner. Whether you are navigating leadership changes, wondering about next steps, or simply needing encouragement, you do not have to discern alone.

The Communicator team exists to serve you—and to serve the wider Emmaus movement—by fostering connection, clarity, and hope.
