April 10, 2025 by The Upper Room Emmaus Ministries Team

The Nashville Emmaus Ministries community recently welcomed a group of five Korean pastors who traveled to observe the Face to Face program. Their visit was driven by a pressing need within their own churches: an aging membership seeking meaningful spiritual engagement and renewal. As they explored the program firsthand, they were inspired by its potential for their congregations.

Face to Face, designed specifically for older adults, offers a unique model of Christian discipleship, emphasizing deep spiritual renewal and personal reflection. The Korean pastors observed each key aspect of the experience throughout their visit. They witnessed the power of biblically centered talks and discussions in the conference room. The prayer room provided a glimpse into the program’s strong emphasis on intercessory prayer and personal connection with God. Finally, the agape room, filled with tangible expressions of God’s love, showcased the deep sense of community and care that Face to Face fosters.

The visiting pastors were impressed by the program's well-structured and spiritually enriching nature and delighted by the Nashville community's warmth and hospitality. Their enthusiasm grew as they recognized how Face to Face could be a transformative offering for their congregations. They saw how it could provide a space for their older members to reconnect with their faith, find renewed purpose, and strengthen their walk with Christ.

As they return to Korea, these pastors have a vision to introduce Face to Face within their churches. Their excitement is a testament to Emmaus Ministries' global impact and its ability to meet the evolving needs of Christian communities worldwide.
