When we find ourselves disconnected from God, we...
Dear God, we rejoice and give thanks as we remember your faithfulness. We are grateful for the many ways you reveal your love, power, and presence to us each day. Amen.
In this week’s readings, individuals long for God’s grace and receive it, being transformed for service to God as a result. Psalm 42 reflects the deep longing of the soul for God’s presence, a sentiment echoed in the verses from First Kings where Elijah seeks guidance in a moment of despair. Both are revived through God’s faithfulness. In Luke’s Gospel, the healing of the man possessed by a demon showcases Jesus’ power over spiritual forces and his ability to heal and transform. Galatians emphasizes the grace given to all, transcending all backgrounds. Together, these verses highlight the human need for God’s guidance, the transformative power of faith in Christ, and the inclusive nature of God’s love and grace.
