The Lord Hears Us

We were about to begin pouring concrete. Everything was arranged, the scaffolding had already been set up at a great expense, and the contractor and workers were ready. But before we could start, rain clouds darkened the sky.

The contractor and the workers started arguing about whether they should begin working. The workers said there was no point because the concrete would wash away. But the contractor said that since the festive season began the next day, the project would be delayed by a month. I had to decide what to do, and I was conflicted. But I was sure God would hear me when I called. After praying, I decided we should go ahead with the work despite the dark clouds. Working efficiently, we poured the concrete and completed the job just before the rain began. One of the workers said, “It is a miracle of God.”

As today’s scripture states, God hears when we call. God loves us enough that his Son saved us from sin and death. Whatever situation we face, God has set us apart and hears us when we call.
