Everyone naturally seeks appreciation for the work they do, and such appreciation becomes a source of encouragement in life. When my wife, Falguni, prepares a new dish, she looks at me expecting a few kind words. My son, Alan, proudly calls out, “Papa, look!” after finishing his homework, hoping for praise. At the workplace, when we complete an assigned project, we also look forward to our bosses’ appreciation. These small words of encouragement act like fuel that boosts our confidence and motivates us to do even better.
In the same way, praising God for God’s wonderful works is a meaningful act of worship. This beautiful world is God’s craftsmanship—seen in the sunrise over green mountains, dew drops on flowers, the sound of flowing rivers, the waves on the seashore, and the cheerful chirping of birds. Every tree, every leaf, and even every tiny cell reflects God’s unmatched creativity.
The little helps we receive each day from unexpected people are also gifts from God. Above all, being created in the image of God is itself a great honor. We have countless reasons to thank and praise our Lord. As Isaiah 43:21 reminds us, “This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise” (KJV). Praising and worshiping God fulfills one of the very purposes of our creation. So why remain silent when there are so many reasons to glorify him? This very moment is an opportunity to pause, recognize God’s goodness, and lift our hearts in praise to the Lord.
