Maintaining Balance
I am forever thankful for the second chance that I have received. Every day I express gratitude to God by expressing thanks for the blessings I have been given for the opportunities of the new day. One blessing was the opportunity to be a pilgrim on the Walk to Emmaus. My Walk was a truly transformational experience, which has guided me toward consistently living a Life of Grace. The concepts of piety, worship, and action that balance my life have allowed me to live my second chance to the fullest potential. The joy that I feel every day reflects the light that exudes from my inside to out. Now I get opportunities to fulfill Jesus’s instruction in Matthew 20:27-28 and serve!
Routines are important to me, so I begin every day with prayer and meditation. Routines provide structure, and structures are important for growth. I set a goal for spiritual growth, and daily study of scripture and reading solidify my faith. Maintaining my spiritual fitness allows me to ready for the opportunities to serve that each new day provides.
I have a few inspirational notes posted in my entryway. One reminds me to “Live through it; Learn from it; Keep moving forward.” Every day is a new adventure!
