One friend I have kept in contact with since high school is Ken in Anchorage. Ken was also a groomsman at our wedding. He recently retired from dentistry and is an avid fisherperson. He mainly fishes the Upper Kenai River for salmon and Dolly Varden trout.
Ken sends me pictures of fish, and once in a while I get to send him one too—like this one that was taken following a fishing trip out of Westport, Washington, where our cabin is located. I had gone fishing on a charter boat. I had not caught a salmon in six years. But this day, I caught two and the boat limited out, which is pretty rare for me. A blessed day of fishing for all.
