Madani’s puppies have grown up to be cute, as expected. They are what we called SSS puppies; we named them Sam, Sky and Stacy. Though I’m very sad to say that when around they were four months old, while playing with her brothers Stacy received an injury to her two hind legs. We went to the vet, and she said that Stacy had some sort of nerve damage that cause her to be unable able to walk. We were so heartbroken to hear the dreadful news. But the vet said she can still have a full life.
And she is, indeed, living a good life! We always carry her when it’s time to walk her brothers. And she always has a very good appetite. It was an adjustment at first, and it’s sad to see a dog who cannot enjoy running around. But when I look at Stacy, I know she always feel loved by us, her family. She has one of the loudest barks too when she senses it’s time to eat or when we come home. Sam, Sky, and Stacy’s quirkiness always makes us laugh. I’d like to think that God was smiling too when he formed them in Madani’s womb. God surely knew that in the future those puppies would makes us smile and lead us appreciate his cute, cuddly creations. Yes, it’s sometimes sad to see that not all animals are taken care of, but I still believe God has put it in our hearts to appreciate and care for them. After all, we were created in God’s own Image!
