More from April Bogert

June 20, 2025 by April Bogert (New York, USA)

What makes us feel sad or even angry, like Jonah in today’s scripture reading, may be part of God’s plan for our ultimate good. We have to trust God’s way and be thankful that God is in control.

Once again I thank God for helping me write about a mundane experience and relate it to something I needed to consider. I hope this brings some insight and/or encouragement to those who read it.

I am grateful to share with all who read The Upper Room’s daily devotionals and offer a “shout out” to those who comment online regularly.

[God] has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” — Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NIV)
